BUSINESS STRATEGY, INC. NAMED TO “101 BEST AND BRIGHTEST COMPANIES TO WORK FOR” AND HONORED WITH MULTIPLE AWARDS
Grand Rapids, MI – June 23, 2010.For the fifth consecutive year Business Strategy, Inc. was named one of “West Michigan’s 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For.” This is an annual honor granted by the Michigan Business and Professional Association (MBPA). Only companies with the highest quality human resource initiatives can be named “101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For.” Charlie Fayon, CEO, commented on being named to the list “we appreciated being recognized again this year; what makes this award more meaningful is the surveys completed by our associates are a basis for this award.”
Business Strategy, Inc. was started by Dan Geelhoed, Duke Vandyke, and Charlie Fayon in 1990. Since that time Business Strategy has expanded its service offerings and grown to a company employing over 130 associates – 20 of which were hired in the last year alone, including two upper level sales positions and a project manager. The MPBA is an organization that represents more than 20,000 members and an array of industries around West Michigan. The MPBA recognizes 101 companies in the West Michigan area every spring. The 101 Best and Brightest Companies met for a luncheon at the Pinnacle Center in Grand Rapids on May 5th to vie for ten elite awards. The elite awards given out are based on scores from nominating clients based on compensation and benefits, employee education and development, recruitment and selection, recognition and retention, communication, diversity and multi-culturalism, work life balance, community initiatives, and employee engagement and commitment. The biggest award of the luncheon is the “Best of the Best” award.
Business Strategy, Inc. took home the Elite Award for Recruitment and Selection. This award is based on the extent to which an organization actively recruits using multiple methods, and uses systematic process to screen and select employees who fit the organization. Recovery Analyst, Kelly Block, says Business Strategy employees “are all very respectful. Everyone’s willingness to work together – and friendliness – is great.”
Business Strategy, Inc. continued this winning streak by taking home the award for “Best Collateral and Brochures” at The Institute of Financial Operations’ 2011 FUSION conference in Orlando, Florida. At this conference Business Strategy embraced the Hollywood theme and offered “Star Treatment” massages and manicures, “Everyday Celebrity” yoga and zumba classes, and recreated several well known Hollywood films’ posters; the modified posters focused on Business Strategy’s service offerings and expertise. Business Strategy also maximized their creative potential by designing a mock-movie theatre lobby in their booth, complete with redesigned classic candy boxes promoting their services. “Process Automation Jelly Beans seemed to be a crowd favorite,” commented Chris Koens, Marketing Manager, “all of the candy designs were very well received; if I could use a pun, people must have thought they were ‘sweet’ – seriously, though, we are honored to be recognized by the attendees with the Best Collateral award.”
